Tailored Flooring has moved to 80 Alma Road, Clifton, Bristol, BS8 2DJ
Come to our new showroom - new products and new design ideas
At Tailored Flooring, we’ve always believed that if you’re going to do a job, you should do it properly. That’s why, in order to continue suppling the same high quality and luxury carpets and floorcoverings, with excellent, authoritative and accountable service from initial enquiry to installation, we knew we needed a larger showroom.
It wasn’t long until we heard about a retail space that had become vacant on Alma Road, right by the Clifton Down Centre - and round the corner from all our favourite cafes – we knew it was right for us. We gave a lot of thought towards the showroom’s new design and even worked closely with some of Bristol’s most renowned interior designers in its inception.
The new shop is split into three distinct areas: carpets and runners, wood-flooring, and luxury vinyl and hard floors.
When you cross the threshold into the showroom, the first impression is one of dazzling colour combined with an impressive sense of space and airiness. Bold, solid colours are back in vogue and we’ve decided to showcase some of the fantastic, inhibited carpets by our favourite suppliers.
In the window we’ve chosen to display Alternative Floorings Quirky-B Liberty carpets which deploy iconic Liberty of London fabric designs which exude vitality and optimism. We’ve also dedicated another panel to the rest of Alternative Floorings Quirky B range which are a celebration of the interplay of colour and form.
We’ve chosen to highlight the 100% woolen runners by Fleetwood Fox and Hartley and Tisseir, available in customisable widths, colours and patterns. Tailored Flooring’s fitters specialise in fitting these highly specialist products on even the most tricky staircase.
We recognise that the turn in interior design towards more vivid colours isn’t appropriate for every floorspace which is why we’ve kept some of the more muted hues on display, emphasizing the variations in natural and pastel tones of our Sisal carpet range, along with the subtle gradation of classic twist piles by Victoria and Brintons.
We decided to contrast brightness of our display stands with a measured, yet majestic darkened Liquorice engineered Oak herringbone by Ted Todd, which also complements the suspended limed ceiling our carpenters created for us.
For second section of the showroom, raised slightly from the first, we decided to lay a classic Sisal carpet – the Malay Shanghai by Alternative Flooring. This is also where we have stationed our wood-flooring section.
We’ve chosen to exhibit a wide range of engineered oak boards by Woodpecker flooring exploring the huge variety of textures and finishes which oak is capable of. We also have plenty of sample board by other great suppliers such as Ted Todd and Havwoods which are available on request.
In the final section of the showroom huge selection of Karndean design flooring sample boards. There is a stand for each range – the Knight-tile, the Opus, the Van Gogh, the Art-Select and the Michelangelo. Each range comprises of a tantalising mix of wood and stone effects in hundreds of finishes and patinas.
We’re delighted with the new showroom, but don’t take our word for it, why don’t you come down and visit us? We look forward to seeing you.
